Well lookit me, off to Americorps NCCC. I wanted a gap year between high school and college, to maybe give myself a glimpse of life outside of the cozy classrooms of education, so here is a record of the ten months I spend in and around California serving the US of A.

Gone
Off to Catalina Island! I'm psyched for a car ride where I get to sleep a ton, so it should be good. Otherwise, I have pretty much nothing to say here, just that I have to go and do final packing things and eat breakfast! TTFN Sam

Currently I am doing a ten-month service period with Americorps NCCC (same CCC from the great depression, 'cept A-corps ate it). My home base is Sacramento, CA, and from there me and my service team get sent wherever non-profits or the US needs help. Kind of like super heroes, but a tad more awesome, and with a bit less funding.
